Synopsis: While awaiting the next fuel truck at a middle-of-nowhere Arizona rest stop, a traveling young knife salesman is thrust into a high-stakes hostage situation by the arrival of two similarly stranded bank robbers with no qualms about using crueltyโor cold, hard steelโto protect their bloodstained, ill-gotten fortune.
Why I recommend this: This is such an easy 90-minute watch. These days it's common to go into a movie and not come out until almost 3 hours later. We need more fun, hour-and-a-half movies that are filled with interesting situations, intriguing characters, practical effects, but most importantly with good story lines.
"Reality" (2023)Director: Tina Satter
Synopsis: A former American intelligence specialist gets confronted for releasing government information to the media about Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections via an email operation.
The way they decided to tell this story is SO unique and just plain cool. If you havenโt yet, donโt look up anything else about this movie and just dive in. Itโs so much better that way. Thatโs what I did; I saw only the title, actress, and hit play. I'm grateful I watched it without a trailer or looking up marketing material. โ Hope you enjoyed this!
